Gettysburg College, Gettysburg National Military Park, and the Gettysburg Foundation are pleased to announce an innovative 3-day conference on the frontiers of academic and public history. Through a wide variety of presentations, panels, working groups and field experiences, attendees will explore new ways to engage diverse audiences in meaningful conversations about the history and legacy of the American Civil War.
The conference will be centered at Gettysburg College, but the keynote panel will take place at the new Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. A wide variety of site visits and field experiences will complement the discussion sessions, allowing participants ample opportunity to move the conversation outside the conference room and lecture hall.
Scholars, public historians, museum professionals, educators, graduate students, and members of the general public are equally encouraged to participate. Please register early as space is limited. Questions? Please email email@example.com or call 717-337-6590.
